Download it first and then follow the guide.
Note: Before we start, please do a backup file so that later you can restore the things needed.
This mode protects your privacy by cleaning the personal information such as photos, messages and so forth.
Step 1. Launch iPhone Data Eraser
Run the program on your PC and then get the iPhone connected to it. If this is first connection, you will see this interface, which means you can now go to the handset and tap "Trust". After this the computer can get access to your data and phone settings.
Then, choose "Erase Private Data" on the left side.
Step 2. Scan for iPhone Files and Clean Them up
Click "Start Scan" in the middle so that iPhone Data Eraser can search the private files. The result can be seen like this.
Please be aware that the images in the home directory can be previewed while those under "Deleted Data" can not. Tick both of them and click "Erase Now". And when it is finished, press "Done".
Step 1. Clean up the Photographs
To do this, you need to go to the beginning of this article. Launch the Photos app and erase the files in batches. It is quite simple. Surely you will make it. Now, let’s proceed to the next step.
Step 2. Scan for Lost Images
Select "Erase Deleted Files" and tap "Start Scan". After a while, the result is shown. See the interface below? Tick "Photos" at the bottom. There are 122 of them. Under this mode, only names, dates can be seen. Press "Erase Now" and wait for some time.
The process bar shows where we are at. Do not pull the USB cord out, or your phone might get damaged. Also, the button "Done" needs to be clicked at the end.
Step 1. Enter "delete" to Erase iPhone
You should choose the last mode, "Erase All Data". "Medium Security Level" is recommended because it is enough for most users and does not cost so much time. Also, you can click the word "Medium" and three options are listed for your choice-High Level, Medium Level and Low Level. After you tick one of them, press "OK". Then the interface will turn into this one. Key in the word "delete" and click "Erase Now".
Step 2. Wait for the Erasure to End
First, the program will clear all the contents including pictures, settings, private data, and so on. It should not be long before your iPhone restarts automatically.
Then, traces on the free space are to be total cleared. To guarantee that the files can not be restored, the whole iDevice will be run through. So, it cost more time than the first two modes. When you see "Storage Almost Full" on the phone screen, tap "Done" to continue. Still, at the end you will have to click "Done" on the computer.
Note: You can only erase the cache of the movie and music apps with a free trial version.
