I am selling my 5s today and I need to remove all the data while keeping my jailbreak. How can I do this?
I have an iPhone 4s.How do I erase the data on the phone without losing the jailbreak unlock? I am looking to sell it. If I go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, will this lose the jailbreak? Thanks for your help!
If you want to delete iPhone data and at the same time we are unwilling to lose jailbreak, the common method you may want to try is to go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings on your iPhone. Well, it's a common way which helps you delete iPhone data, but it's not work for an iPhone that you want to reserve jailbreak. You don't need to panic and there are three useful ways that can help you. If you want to protect your information away from leaking to strangers, my recommendation is the first method. Also the second one and the third one are good to try.
Note: You should use iTunes or iCloud to backup the important data on your old iPhone first, because the deletion you're going to perform is permanent.
Step 1. Run iPhone Data Eraser and connect your iPhone, choose the menu - ERASE ALL DATA and then go ahead.
Step 2. Type "delete" in the blank and click "Erase Now".
Step 3. After that, your iPhone will restart.
Then, iPhone Data Eraser starts to wipe all the free space. If it pops up on the phone with "Storage Almost Full", just tap "Done" and remember not to disconnect your iPhone.
Note: Just keep the device connected during the process, or the process will fail.
You can use Semi-Restore for Windows to wipe your iPhone to near stock condition without losing your jailbreak. Before beginning to make sure you do a backup of your device.
Step 1. Download and unzip Semi-Restore and run the EXE file.
Step 2. Connect your iOS 5.0 to iOS 6.1.2 phone to computer and click on the Semi-Restore button

Step 4. Once Semi-Restore has completed your iOS device will be rebooted to the new device setup wizard. Of course, your jailbreak is preserved, too.
